Rodent Repellent

A rodent repellent smells pleasant to humans, but confuses the sensitive noses of mice and rats, causing them to move away. Repellents can be a good alternative to rodent poison baits.

Why would one put a pouch of the "smelly stuff" under the set of their car? Can rats and/or mice get in the inside of a car by crawling through the engine?

You would be amazed at the questions I get about animals getting into vehicles.

Once a squirrel is caught in a Have a Heart trap, how far away should you go to let the squirrel go? Is it true they can find their way back home up to 50 miles away? If you take them to a park that is across body of water such as a river can they find their way back to the nest?

50 miles would be a stretch for a squirrel to find its way back home. A couple of miles would be enough, but each state has its own rules about releasing trapped animals. Some states require you to euthanize the animal.

Good stuff, I can see where that would help in sensitive accounts.
Thanks

In your video you don't mention using the rodent repellent pouches in kitchens or laundry areas. Would this product help to repel the mice that I think are coming in around my fridge and washing machine?

The pouches are not really meant for use inside houses. Plus, you don't want to repel them in houses. They are already inside the wall, so you want to attract them to a trap to eliminate them, not move them to a new location.

Thanks so much for the info! Will keep trying to attract them to those traps . . . . I watched your video about that, too. Do you have any opinion on those traps that have little "houses" over them?

You don't need a fancy trap. Just a plain snap trap will do the trick.
