Ask Rick A Question

Fun and Games

Insects have been around for a lot longer than people, much longer. It is currently believed that the oldest human civilizations date back to 8000 B.C.E. and the human species evolved somewhere about 700,000 years ago. Insects, on the other hand, have been on the planet for about 300 million years. That's a big difference.

Perhaps the incredible history and diversity of insects gives us a clue to why humans are so fascinated by them. Check out some of these fun and game insect sites:

A game for the little ones; Avoid the caterpillars

Another game for little ones: The Great Honey Race

One for kids, but a little older: Dr. Zitbag's Invent An Insect Game

Probably a tween game: Insect Hunter

This one's for tweens: Pest Detection

Another tween games: Pest Rangers

A little challenging word game: Bug Box Word Search

A game for little ones again: Monster Bug

This one is for video gamers: Bee Commando
